Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for her role as Detective Diane Russell. Her roles include All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. Delaney was the only daughter of the United Auto Workers executive and his wife, a domestic worker. Her childhood was spent in a home with four other brothers. In her early years she longed to be a court reporter. However, after graduating from high school and relocating to New York in the 1980s and began to model, she was hooked. In 1981, she starred as an innocent teenager in All My Children. Delaney is well-known as an actress, appearing in many films, TV movies, and dramas. Her professional career has been better than her personal life. The accomplished actress battled alcoholism and had two marriages fall apart. In 2005, she lost custody of her only son.
