Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, born March 26, 1991, often referred to professionally by the name Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and is the first female artist to sign with J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. The first single, Pho which was released on 21 October 2016 was released through Dreamville Records. Her career began to grow in fame. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album was released May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox released her music online in 2012 when she released five Finger Discount mixtape and Ariography EP in 2013. The year 2014 saw Ari Lennox release her own single Bound and her self-released mixtape Five Finger Discount. Sweat It is part of Omen's Elephant Eyes album, which was released on July 21st, 2015. J. Cole had her submit her tracks for the Dreamville Team later that year because he was hoping for Rihanna to work together on a few references. In December 2008, it was announced that Rihanna had hired to Dreamville Records. In the record Revenge of the Dreamers II She was on the song Backseat along with Cozz. On October 21 2016 she dropped her debut EP called Pho. Ari Lennox performed the song Change by J. Cole as well as being an opener on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017 in which she was joined by EarthGang. The singer also performed on the songs Nothing but the Best by EarthGang and Icarus with Bas, her labelmates. Ari Lennox, on the 16th of July 2018 was the first artist to release her single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. A music video came out on the 5th. The 9th of November saw her release two additional singles titled 40 Shades of Choke and Grampa. On the 13th of November two singles, titled No One and pedigree. She appeared with Cole on her Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby On November 16and later she released the song as a solo single for her debut album. A music video debuted 20 February 2019 in order in conjunction with the song. Within a time, it was viewed more than 3,000,000 views. She was the supporting act for 6LACK on the From East Atlanta With Love Tour in December 2018.
